Triple Seven Home.

A storefront the team can merchandise without me.

A custom Next.js storefront on Shopify for a Florida custom lighting company, built so the team runs the content themselves.

What needed
to change.

A custom lighting company needed a store that looked like its own brand rather than a theme, sold real products through Shopify, and let the team change the homepage story, the order stages, and the product finishes without waiting on a developer.

The work,
and what it changed.

  1. The homepage story needed to change without a deploy, but the content model was not populated yet.

Build the hero rail content-managed with a staging path, and fall back to the existing banner until scenes are configured.

The team got an editable homepage with no blank hero in the gap, and the fallback retired itself once content existed.

  2. The trade program asked applicants to upload a license file, which meant storing and reviewing documents.

Take a link to the license instead of the file.

Less to store and less to secure, and a shorter form for the applicant.

  3. Order stages and finish ordering were details the team wanted to adjust as the catalog grew.

Make the order timeline content-managed and sort finishes by an explicit order field rather than by name.

Merchandising decisions moved to the people making them.

  4. Custom lighting orders carry buyer notes that cannot be lost at the Shopify handoff.

Persist cart notes explicitly through the checkout flow.

Notes survive the handoff instead of dying at the boundary.

What the work
made possible.

Triple Seven Home sells from a custom storefront with a trade program, order status, and a wishlist, and its team changes the merchandising without waiting on a developer.
