How an engagement works, in plain terms.
- Introduction
- These terms govern your use of marquis.codes and the services I provide. Using the site or engaging me means you agree to them.
- Services
- Software architecture, development, and consulting. The specific scope, deliverables, timeline, and payment terms for each engagement live in a separate agreement.
- Payment
- Prices are in USD unless stated otherwise. Project work starts on a deposit; invoices are due on receipt unless agreed otherwise. Card or bank transfer.
- Refunds
- Full refund if work has not begun. Prorated refund for in-flight work based on completion. No refund for completed work that met its spec. Processing takes three to five business days.
- Delivery
- Timelines scale with scope: small projects in roughly one to two weeks, medium in two to four, large in one to three months. Deliverables ship via GitHub, email, or cloud storage as agreed.
- Cancellation
- Fourteen days notice for ongoing work. All completed work is payable. An early-termination fee of 25% of the remaining contract value applies.
- Ownership
- On completion and full payment, you own every deliverable created specifically for your project.
- Liability
- I am not liable for consequential damages, including lost profits, business interruption, or damages arising from use of the site.
